CSA Group, a leading product testing and certification organization, notifies consumers, retailers and distributors of salon style hair dryer units that have been identified in the Canadian market.  These hair dryer units contain a cord set which bears an unauthorized CSA Group certification trademark.

The affected units are “ion Finishing Solutions 1875W Ionic Salon Style Bonnet Dryer”.   CSA Group cannot confirm that these units have been tested and evaluated to the applicable standard for safety and performance for Canada or the United States.

There have been no reports of damage, fire or injury. The identified units were found for sale online as well as imported into the Canadian market.

Consumers with the affected models are advised to immediately discontinue use of the product and to contact their retailer, point-of-sale or the distributor.
