CSA Group, a leading global organization in standards development and testing and certification services, is expanding local services with a new accreditation for its lab in Turkey. The new accreditation allows for testing of information technology equipment, uninterruptable power systems, machinery, lighting control systems, including LED modules, lighting fixtures and non-metallic materials under TS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2012.

“We are very excited about achieving this accreditation. Expanding our service offerings in Turkey is part of our overall growth strategy in Europe. We are offering our clients more services in more locations to help meet the increased demand for testing and certification,” says Magali Depras, Chief Operating Officer, CSA Group. “As we grow our offices in Europe, we will continue to help our clients to meet the requirements to reach global markets while expanding our localized services.”

Since 2002, the lab in Izmir has been offering product safety tests and certification services for household appliances, AV equipment and electrical equipment. The new accreditation expands the testing and certification services and will provide local clients with more comprehensive options to access local and global markets. It is the only accredited electrical safety laboratory in the Izmir area and has a long history of providing testing and certification to clients in Turkey. The Izmir lab plans to further expand its scope of services to meet growing client needs in the areas of machinery, LED Lighting, IT equipment and automotive.

In 2011, CSA Group expanded into Europe, establishing its European headquarters in Frankfurt. Since then, it has doubled growth. CSA Group employs more than experts 400 across Europe with branch offices in Italy and the Netherlands and offers a wide range of certification and testing options through labs in Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Turkey. Three new state-of-the-art labs are scheduled to open in the next year in Europe with plans for further expansion to meet the growing demands of clients in Europe and around the world.
