CSA Group Launches New Service Providing Free Online Access to Standards for Transportation of Dangerous Goods

CSA Group, a leading standards development organization and global provider of testing and certification services, launched a new online platform to increase accessibility to CSA Group Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) standards.  This initiative has been developed in collaboration with Transport Canada’s Transportation of Dangerous Goods Directorate and will allow registered users free access to CSA Group TDG standards referenced in federal legislation.

Registered users will be able to see the full content through CSA Group’s online Communities of Interest (COI) platform at: http://community.csagroup.org . The COI platform is available in English and French and contains links to CSA Group’s online store where users can purchase the standards.

“CSA Group is dedicated to contributing to a better, safer world,” said Gianluca Arcari, Executive Director, Standards and Vice President, CSA Group. “This initiative will allow free access and easy use of these very important standards. CSA Group is helping to promote best practices and public safety in the transportation of dangerous goods and encouraging organizations to take advantage of this new service.”

The site is funded by Transport Canada and builds on its longstanding collaboration with CSA Group to develop and maintain transportation standards referenced in federal legislation. For more than twenty-seven years, CSA Group has worked with expert members to develop TDG consensus-based standards. The new service will be a valuable reference for employers to learn more about their rights and obligations under the law. The COI platform also provides a forum where users can ask questions and participate in discussions on standards-related issues.

Users can now log into Communities of Interest and register to find the TDG View Access site at http://community.csagroup.org/welcome.
