State-of-the-Art Facility Now Offers Testing and Certification for Hazardous Locations and Energy Storage and Includes a new High Force Laboratory

CSA Group, a global provider of testing and certification services and a leading standards development organization, expanded its laboratory in Cleveland, Ohio, continuing CSA Group’s commitment to provide superior local service to customers by  adding new services in high growth  sectors.

The 54,000 square foot, state-of-the-art laboratory in Cleveland provides testing capabilities to help manufacturers produce reliable and safer products and components. The Cleveland facility is equipped to provide testing and certification services for a wide variety of industries including: household appliances, automotive components, primary and secondary batteries, plumbing products and health products.

The recent expansion in Cleveland added an additional 4,000 square feet of laboratory space and includes a full service explosion-proof and flame-proof lab, a gas detection lab with the ability to test up to 100 per cent concentration levels, an energy storage laboratory with capabilities to test to North American and international standards and a new high-force laboratory with customized UTMs for tensile, compression and cyclic loading.

CSA Group’s Cleveland laboratory is formally recognized and accredited by AMECA, ANSI, ASSE, BSI, CEC, City of Los Angeles, MSHA, EPA, IAS, IECEE, MaP, NSAI, OSHA, RVIA, SCAQMD and SCC.
