CSA Group, a leading global provider of standards development, testing and certification services today announced the launch of its Beijing office. The new office will provide local laboratory witness testing services to key clients in Beijing and Tianjin, expanding CSA Group’s testing and certification services in China.

The CSA Group Beijing Office is located in Yizhuang, a China National Economic Development Area (EDA) for new and high-tech industries in the southeast suburbs of Beijing adjacent to Tianjin City. The Yizhuang EDA is home to more than 70 of the global top 500 organizations. Well situated to serve clients in Northern China, the CSA Beijing Office offers witness testing services in medical, laboratory equipment, industrial control and hazardous locations for world-renowned enterprises in northern China.

As part of China’s economic boom, cities in northern China, including Beijing and Tianjin, are experiencing rapid growth. In late 2014, the 12th Session of the 12th China National People’s Congress Standing Committee authorized the State Council to adjust relevant legal regulations to the administration of free trade zones, creating four free-trade zones throughout China.

While attracting external investments for rapid development, China’s new open policies have created tremendous opportunities along with some challenges. As manufacturing continues to expand, organizations that offer testing and certification need to expand as well to take full advantage of the growth, while providing professional and timely testing services to domestic and global manufacturers.
