CSA Group’s HR Team Recognized as One of the Most Innovative in Canada

CSA Group is pleased to announce that it has been recognized as having one of Canada’s Most Innovative HR Teams 2021 by Canadian HR Reporter. The annual competition recognizes HR teams that are breaking boundaries to move the industry forward through progressive and ground-breaking strategies, technologies and policies. CSA Group was recognized for its successful implementation and adoption of Workday, a cloud-based software that specializes in human capital management and financial management applications.

Since the initial rollout in 2019, CSA Group’s HR team has worked continuously with leaders across the organization to personalize and enhance the Workday offering, ensuring a streamlined and hassle-free experience for global employees.

“As an organization committed to holding the future to a higher standard, embracing technology to enhance the employee experience has always been a priority at CSA Group,” says Melodie Mason, Vice President, Total Rewards, CSA Group. “Rolling out a platform like Workday across 36 office locations in 14 countries was a significant undertaking, but our team was up for the challenge.”

Across the globe, CSA Group’s employees and managers can now easily access a range of sophisticated tools and resources related to compensation, benefits and performance management through the Workday system. Leaders also benefit from an HR Management Dashboard highlighting helpful data and analytics. During 2020, the HR team also completed discovery on tools and resources to be leveraged in Workday to help the organization understand, commit and move forward on its Diversity, Equality and Inclusion journey.

“Approaching the project with creativity, drawing on the right minds and keeping an open mind allowed us to objectively review and adapt entrenched processes, says Kelly Perrow, Senior Manager, HRIS, CSA Group “By leveraging cutting-edge technology, we have been able to enrich processes and increase efficiency for all CSA Group employees who now benefit from greater visibility, improved workflows, enhanced reporting and accountability and better communication.”

CSA Group will be featured in a special report in issue 37.07 of Canadian HR Reporter’s digital magazine.
