On December 4, Jimmy LaValley, a respected and valued member of CSA Group’s Board of Directors passed away. Jimmy was appointed to the Board in 2013 and served most recently as a member of the Human Resources and Compensation Committee. In addition to his many contributions to the Board, Jimmy also acted as the Interim Office of the Chief Executive and as a facilitator to the Board during the CEO search process before David Weinstein joined the organization.

Jimmy was the owner and CEO of JLV Consulting, LLC. Prior to starting his consultancy, his career in Human Resources took him to organizations such as Mountain Bell, US West and Waste Management. As Waste Management’s Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer, Jimmy was responsible for starting up and overseeing all human resource functions, including compensation, benefits, recruitment, talent development, retention, performance management and succession planning.

Jimmy will be remembered by those who worked with him for his sharp business acumen, warm and caring demeanor and honest interest in the well-being of others. We are deeply thankful for his guidance and support of CSA Group over the years.
