Toronto,

CSA Group, a global provider of testing and certification services and a leading standards development organization, notifies consumers, retailers and distributors of counterfeit commercial Tandoori ovens with gas burners and burners purchased for home-use that have been identified in the Canadian market.  These Tandoori ovens contain a label which bears the unauthorized CSA Group certification trademarks.

The affected units are branded “Kitchen Queen”.  CSA Group has not tested or evaluated these products to the applicable standard for safety and performance for Canada or the United States.

There have been no reports of damage, fire or injury to date.

The identified units were found for sale at the Kitchen Queen retail locations in Toronto and Markham, are known to be sold throughout Canada, and have been found installed in restaurants throughout Ontario.

Consumers with the affected models are advised to immediately discontinue use of the product and to contact the Technical Standards & Safety Authority (TSSA) at [email protected]  or the Toronto Police Fraud 55 Division at 416-808-7298 or email [email protected].
