This voluntary recall involves Danson Décor brand outdoor Halloween 30 count seasonal light sets sold exclusively by Dollarama. The affected products have a total length of approximately 199 cm (78.5 inches) with orange or purple coloured bulbs and a black wire. The recalled light sets were manufactured in 2019 with date code 2019-04 and lot number 193.

Only products with lot number 193 and date code 2019-04 are affected by this recall. Consumers are able to locate the date code on the white tag attached to the product.

Hazard identified: The electrical wiring may be exposed on the light string, posing an electric shock hazard to the consumer.

As of November 26, 2020, the company has received 3 reports of exposed wires in Canada, and no reports of injury.

Number sold: The company reported that 34,968 units of the affected product were sold in Canada

Time period sold: The affected products were sold from August 2019 to October 2020.
