Recall Information

This recall involves certain StaRite and Mastertemp gas fired pool heaters with a specific model number that were manufactured between December 22, 2020 to January 6, 2021. The model number and manufacture date are located on the white label on the back of the heater. Not all units manufactured during this time period are affected.

Hazard identified: A connection in the heater can leak the combustible air-gas mixture, posing a fire hazard.

As of March 23, 2021, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada or the United States.

Number sold: The company reported that 21 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and 4,700 were sold in the United States.

Time period sold: The affected products were sold from December 2020 to January 2021.

Place of origin: Manufactured in United States.
