For more than 60 years, CSA Group standards and research have played a vital role in helping the oil and gas sector take a lifecycle approach to pipeline safety. Our standards-based solutions address:

Many of these important CSA Group pipeline safety standards are incorporated by reference in federal and provincial regulatory requirements. All pipelines and equipment regulated by the Canada Energy Regulator (CER), an independent federal agency, must meet the specifications of the standard CSA Z662, Oil and gas pipeline systems.
