Conducting Audits & Inspections to Help Confirm Your Compliance with Essential Regulatory Requirements

Our assessments of facilities, processes, and products aim to enhance your ability to manage the value chain to meet applicable regulatory requirements. Through our range of audit and inspection services, we provide you with vital data to make informed decisions, spanning from supplier networks to product quality. We can also help pinpoint discrepancies, vulnerabilities, and potential risks while identifying new opportunities for your business.

Audits & Inspection Services

Pre-Shipment Inspections: Pre-shipment inspections are conducted when products are ready for shipment but have not yet been dispatched. This inspection service serves as a last check before products are loaded onto containers and transported to retailers.

Factory Audits of Capability and Capacity: To help you better understand the manufacturing facilities you are working with worldwide, we provide a range of factory assessments based on applicable requirements established by ISO 9001. Auditing against ISO 9001 helps confirm that the factory’s quality management practices are robust, helping to build trust with customers, improve operational efficiency, and demonstrate the factory’s ability to meet capacity and capability requirements.

Social Compliance: Social compliance audits assess a supplier’s adherence to social responsibility standards, including applicable labor laws, worker rights, health and safety practices, management systems and ethics, and environmental regulations. These audits help facilitate ethical sourcing practices and mitigate concerns related to labor exploitation and unsafe working conditions, among other risks.

Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) Screenings: C-TPAT audits evaluate a company’s supply chain security measures to prevent terrorism-related risks in international trade. Our service offering entails reviewing and validating your supply chain security measures, identifying potential gaps in your security practices that do not comply with C-TPAT requirements. You can leverage our findings to help enhance your supply chain security.

First Article Review: A first article inspection (FAI) verifies the conformance of the initial production run or prototype to specified design requirements and engineering drawings. This inspection helps confirm that the manufacturing process is capable of producing parts or products that meet applicable standards before mass production begins. This inspection will typically coincide with the first unit production.

Sample Selection: Sample selection involves the systematic process of choosing representative samples from a larger population of products or components for testing or inspection purposes. Our expert will visit the manufacturing factory to select and seal samples of products for evaluation. Careful sample selection helps ensure that test results accurately reflect the quality and characteristics of the entire batch or production lot.

During Production Inspections: This type of inspection can be conducted at random stages of the manufacturing process to help identify and address production issues early, before they escalate into larger problems. These inspections verify product quality, production progress, and adherence to specifications, helping prevent defects and delays in production.

Container Loading Inspections: Container loading inspections involve the examination of products at the factory, loading port, or at the agreed upon place of ownership transfer. This type of inspection helps verify proper packing, stacking, and bracing of goods, as well as compliance with applicable loading regulations and safety standards.

Landed Inspections: Landed inspections entail conducting an evaluation upon the shipment’s arrival in North America or at a retailer distribution center prior to delivery to stores. These inspections verify the condition of the goods, along with any other contractual agreements and applicable regulatory requirements.

Post-Market Product Evaluation & Inspections: Post-market product evaluation and inspections assess the products that are already on the market. These evaluations may involve periodic audits, testing, and inspections to monitor product quality, address customer complaints, and to help verify ongoing regulatory compliance.
