CSA Group Singapore expands services for product testing and certification to meet customers’ growing demands in Southeast Asia

CSA Group, a leading global provider of testing, inspection, and certification services, and standards development, has announced its laboratory in Singapore has received the accreditation under SAC-SINGLAS scheme. This is CSA Group’s first laboratory accredited by the Singapore Accreditation Council (SAC) for three major product groups.

SAC is the national accreditation body managed by Enterprise Singapore. It plays the role in maintaining integrity and impartiality of conformity assessment practices by laboratories in Singapore. The Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SAC-SINGLAS) accredits laboratories in specific fields of science and technology that can demonstrate compliance with good standard of laboratory practice and quality management system.

In June 2023, CSA Group Singapore received the accreditation under SAC-SINGLAS scheme in the field of electrical testing for products in the following areas:

1. IT & office equipment, power supply and component
2. Audio/video equipment
3. Electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use

As a result of our recent accreditation, our test reports will include the prestigious SAC-SINGLAS logo and will be widely accepted by many markets worldwide through mutual recognition agreements (MRA). These MRAs include agreements with esteemed organizations like the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC).

In addition to our newly added certification services, both locally and globally, CSA Group Singapore provides efficient services for testing and certification requirements. Drawing upon our extensive experience in meeting the complex North American market requirements, CSA Group Singapore can address our customers’ North American certification needs, such as product certifications to North American standards, special inspections, and field evaluations (SIFE), and more.

CSA Group Singapore is accredited to IEC 62368‑1 and IEC 60950-1 standards, covering a wide range of product categories, such as IT, office equipment, audio/video equipment, and power supply and component. Furthermore, the laboratory is also accredited to perform testing in accordance with standard IEC 61010, which is for electrical equipment designed for measurement, control, and laboratory use.
